How to work it
- Yarn over.
- Insert the hook into the next stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You now have 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and pull through 2 loops. 2 loops remain.
- Yarn over and pull through the last 2 loops.
Tips
- At the start of a row, ch 3 usually counts as the first dc. Then work the next dc into the second stitch, not the first.
- Work the last stitch of the row into the top of the turning chain to keep edges straight.
- Double crochet uses less yarn per area than sc, so blankets work up faster.
