The flattest crochet stitch, used to join rounds, move along a row and finish edges.

- Joining rounds, moving yarn along without adding height, neat edges and surface crochet.
How to work it
- Insert the hook into the next stitch.
- Yarn over.
- Pull the yarn through both the stitch and the loop on the hook in one movement.
Tips
- Work loosely. Slip stitches are naturally tight, and a tight join makes a visible pucker.
- To join a round, slip stitch into the first stitch of that round.
- Use it for a decorative edge by working slip stitches in the back loops only.
